President of the Union of Architects of Armenia Mkrtich Minasyan and PAAAE co-president Gohar Tutunjian had welcome speeches at the opening ceremony of the event.

The collection dwells on a number of architectural monuments which are analysed particularly in terms of their features emphasizing their Armenianness. The collection will be continuous and this is the first volume of the publication, which, besides being a book for the Armenian specialists, is aimed at raising awareness on the Armenian architectural heritage among foreign experts.
Presentations were made on the work of prominent Armenian architects Rafael Israelyan, Jim Torossian and Sargis Gurzadyan. Lectures and dance performances followed in the context of Armenian Dance and Architecture. The event continued with an open national dance lesson.
The English version of the book was published with the support of the PAAAE, and the Armenian version-with the support of KAYT Arts Development Initiative.
